Qualifications: Pilates, Pilates for Pregnancy and Seniors, Pilates MK Barre, Body Pump, FitSteps, ETM, Reebok Step.
When/how did you become interested in fitness?
I competed nationally as a gymnast so I fell in love with sport from an early age. I also loved to dance ballroom and latin, however I had to choose between the two disciplines as they were both demanded my time. I chose gymnastics. I went on to run 3 marathons and competed in Tri Athlons, however I have now found my dancing feet again teaching FitSteps and compliment a busy schedule/life with the balance I get from Pilates.
How would you best describe your class experience and coaching style?
I feel I reach out to all and I’m nurturing in my approach. I like my participants to have fun whilst they are working out (FitSteps) or to leave feeling revitalised and de-stressed with a balanced body and mind (Pilates) ready to get back in to their day. I welcome all ages and abilities and it’s never too late to start.
What do you love most about your job?
I love making people feel better about themselves mentally and physically so my goal is to contribute to my clients overall wellbeing and help them achieve their own personal goals.
I had the privilege of training Juliet Binoche in the film “Chocolat” in her training room when she was on set with Jonny Depp and Judi Dench at Shepperton Studios.
